I found a brilliant biography of Hemingway. I had been looking for several months for one that would provide a good enough range of his life, as well as being vaguely reliable. Hemingway by Jeffrey Meyers is brilliant and I would recommend giving it a go; fan or no fan of Hemingway. I would also suggest, if time, to glance at Hemingway's Selected Letters, edited by Carlos Baker, as a piece of additional reading to the Meyers biog. It helps create a picture, not only of the author as he is seen by others (through the biog.), but also of Hemingway, from his own perspective (using the letters).
